The image of Alfred Hitchcock(Eve Arnold):
1.The light is coming from the left side of the picture
2.The position of the model is straight in front of the camera slightly turned towards the left.
3.The background looks like a desert/mountain type of area.
4.The point of view is straight towards the Marilyn, and the picture looks like it was taken pretty close to her
5.The glowly lightening, and the filter affect the color of the background gives, as well as the peaceful expression on Marilyn's face communicates a message of ¨carefree-ness¨

Portraits
Top row 3rd image on the right:
1. I used natural lighting to take the picture. the light is coming from a window on the left and thus brightens up the left side of her face leaving the right side much darker and allowing her hair to create shadows on her face.
2.the model is standing up in the picture, but was only positioning her head because the photo is a head shot. she is standing up straight and is looking straight at the camera, slightly tilting her head to the left.
3.i took a horizontal picture, and stood relatively close to her probably a little less than 2 feet, holding the camera level with her head.
4.the model is portraying a serious straight face, only showing a slight smile in her lips
5. comparing this photo with the image of the girl smiling (bottom row middle image) obviously the emotion of the picture is different, but the lighting used is different because i used studio lights in the image of the girl smiling and natural light in the first image i talked about. the lighting is also coming from the right side in the second image where in the first one it was coming from the left.

Double exposure
The images i chose for double exposure, was the dramatic picture i took of Nicole and Ian, and the image i took of the sun coming through some clouds. Like the image of the clouds, the picture of Nicole and Ian have to light coming towards the middle, Both the pictures also capture a slightly dramatic moment which i feel like makes them fit together better. To get the images to merge into one unified image, i converted them both into black and white and zoomed in on the pictures of the clouds to make it more focused on the clouds themselves. The message that the double exposure images conveys is one of a metaphorical storm in those two peoples relationship, like the clouds represent tension.
